Knox Field
Knox Field grew up in West Sussex in the heart of the South Downs. Here he cultivated a love of both wild and domestic animals.
Even at pre-school when others were drawing in art class, Knox Field was creating in 3-D.
Knox Field secured his first commission of a dog aged 16 and has been working in bronze ever since.
Knox Field now works part in a bronze casting foundry as a metal chaser – preparing the bronze that has come out of casting in a raw state – working alongside some of the country’s top sculptors. This has given Knox an invaluable insight into the many processes involved in producing fabulous bronzes.
Armed with this knowledge, Knox Field pushes the casting process to its limit creating classic work with his own diverse twist, engaging with the movement and aesthetic of his subject. Knox Field uses both bold and subtle textures to bring his work to life. There is nothing he enjoys more than successfully completing projects that the foundry tells him are near impossible.
Through his commissions and personal projects Knox Field is creating an ever growing following that has seen him showcase his work around the country including the Mall Gallery’s and La Galleria Pall Mall in London’s West End.
